Uganda 2008 team updates:
Hello everyone,
Thanks so much for praying for me and team while we're out here in Uganda. We're pretty settled here now, with routines established and everything well underway. Here are some prayer points…
Thank God for…
· Andrew and the team at Calvary Chapel who organise the street kid ministry.
· The chance to do Child Evangelism (sessions to teach the children about Jesus) in each of the schools.
· Good time off, a beautiful house, helpful and friendly staff.
· Good teaching from Romans at Calvary Chapel on Sunday mornings.
· Continued good health (really nothing serious at all), and safety on the roads (a miracle considering the state of Ugandan roads and driving generally).
· Hunger for the Word and to grow in our knowledge and love of God in team sessions in the evenings.
· A good team spirit, and real enthusiasm in everything we do.
Please pray for…
· Wisdom in dealing with street children, balancing practical and spiritual needs (dealing with difficult requests).
· Clarity in teaching the Bible across cultural and all kinds of barriers, especially given general inexperience in teaching the Bible.
· Chances to chat to children in smaller groups about the gospel (possible Bible Studies both for children and teachers at the schools)
· Continued good health and safety.
· Good sleep and rest as teaching becomes less exciting and more 'normal', particularly in schools where they can't teach everything they'd like to.
· Real growth in each of the team, that we would love the Lord Jesus more and be better equipped to serve Him when we get back than when we left.
· Patience and love in living together as a team, encouraging one another daily.
Thanks so much. Do remember to check out the team blog – www.teamuganda08.blogspot.com. Hopefully it'll be updated.
God bless,
