Prayer and retreat day went really on Friday - Praise the Lord. Joy's teaching on tithing was excellent and well received by many people. Steve Day took many photos of prayer walk, will pass them on to you when I can access them.
Also, trip to Mikumi went well - a very long way for a relatively short time in the park and didn't see lions but we'll all meet the 'Lion of Judah' one day! Saw elephants, giraffes, zebra, cape buffalo, wildebeeste, jackel, wart hog and baboons.
Reading week starts tomorrow, pre-diploma course students still have a week of teaching though. Service at cathedral by pre-dip and pre-degree went well - Venuce Mazengo is an excellent communicator. Love and prayers Sue and Chris

Today is a new public holiday - Kurene, the first president of Zanzibar. We are also celebrating because email is working at college!
Plans over Easter went well. Really pleased to have made the time and effort to go back to UK to attend wedding - a lovely day. Chris returned with me and settling in well - helping by teaching current affairs to 5 pre-degree students. One is Ernest – a former MAF guard, who graduated in 2005.
We're now back in number 9 bungalow. Vicky is our house girl. Lovely food!
9 students on pre-dip, 8 Tanzanians and 1 Kenyan. God answered our prayers for his safe and quick return as he had to return home for a passport. He reports that Kenya is now peaceful. 3 students from Moravian church arrived last week - please pray for quick integration and gelling of class. They have missed a lot of work.
Please pray that for good relationships between all staff and students. With love and prayers Sue and Chris. 1 Cor 15:58

Arrived safely and having Sunday lunch with the Derbyshires! They led the English service at the Cathedral this morning (17th).
Took 4 students from pre-dip course - good leading, singing and preaching.
Very spoiled so far with lots of offers of hospitality. Greeted by staff with dinner on Thursday; this was also to welcome back Charles, Mkunda and Richard (Canon) and say farewell to the Gaulas who are off to NZ for 4 years for Given to do his doctorate.
Thank you for your prayer support. Please be assured of ours Love Sue.
