The NEXT programme provides personalised opportunities for volunteers aged 30 years and over to use their professional skills, life experience and gifts in new and exciting ways. By sharing skills and the love of God with others, volunteers can support the worldwide church in making a very real difference to the communities they serve.

“Encouraging and hosting sensitive and prayerful visitors is part of our mission strategy. There are many opportunities and many needs.”

Rob, NEXT Host, Serbia

Whatever your skill, availability and interest, we’ll do our best to prayerfully find an opportunity that is right for you through our global mission network.  A NEXT placement will immerse you in cross-cultural life, working as an ambassador of Christ alongside an established mission or project partner. It will enable you to see what God is doing in other parts of the world….and may provide a significant pointer to what He has next for your own life.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven"… so whether you are thinking about a career break or a sabbatical from work, are retired or just have holiday time to offer, the NEXT programme could be for you!

“We are very willing to have more volunteers from Crosslinks. We greatly appreciate the contribution they have been making to God’s work here. Thank you so much for being a blessing!”

Jon, NEXT Host, Ethiopia

Placements seek to transform lives and we are excited and encouraged by the way God works in and through our NEXT volunteers. We recognise too that placements can be a time of joy and a time of challenge, as volunteers go through an entirely new experience for an intense and relatively brief period of time.

Following each placement we provide a de-briefing opportunity for our NEXT volunteers to reflect upon their experience. For some this is a way of reviewing and learning from their time away, for others a way of clarifying where God directing their future.

Crosslinks is recognised by Global Connections as operating under the Code of Best Practice in Short-Term Mission 2009 and 2010
