Reeve

Mozambique faces a crucial time in her history. Having sustained peace since 1992, Mozambicans are trying to build a democracy and a stable economy. The Christian Church has a key role to play in this process.

During their first term Richard and Bianca worked with the Christian Council
of Mozambique (CCM) in the capital, Maputo.

Richard worked in communications and publicising an arms amnesty project inspired by Micah 4:3. Bianca worked in a home for girls at risk, teaching from the Bible.

After home leave in the UK they returned to Mozambique in April 2005, to begin new work with the Reformed Church (IRM).They run an outreach programme, a discipleship course, and provide small business training.

In each case the church has already shown willing but struggled. The aim is to build on initiatives which are goals of the local church. This requires a delicate balance of work which reflects the mission of God to his world, is the vision of the national church, yet will benefit from the experience they take with them.

Richard is from Stockport (Greater Manchester), UK. Bianca is from Bahia,
North East Brazil. They have three children: Myles, Anabel and Oscar.
