John Patterson is involved with Theological Education by Extension (TEE) at Hoima in the diocese of Bunyoro-Kitara, western Uganda. At the beginning of 2005 he spent time in Uganda learning the job, and this was followed by further study at All Nations Christian College in the UK. He returned to Uganda in June 2006 and is now working as Co-ordinator of the TEE scheme. This brings courses at Certificate and Diploma level to the Diocesan Training Centre, where lay leaders and clergy can access them without the need to go away to college. The scheme is run by Uganda Christian University and operates on behalf of the (Anglican) Church of Uganda.
