August 2008 Prayer Update
We hope you are all doing well. We had a wonderful time with Gill's parents and Aunt, really special. The time went too quickly as always! The rest of July went by in a blur though all has been going fine, even in all the busyness. Thanks as ever for praying for us

Last time we prayed for the summer teams who were coming to do building work and children's programmes. The building work has started well, and it has been a miraculously smooth process so far.
We thank God for the good health, safety and fun that God blessed us with during the visit from Gill's parents and Auntie. Gill has also delighted that everything went smoothly at the office, with everyone doing an excellent job.
2 men from 'Faithworks' in UK came to visit for 5 days to see how Oasis Uganda might engage churches to be more involved in social action. We met with church and NGO leaders and had a really successful time, for which we thank God, and pray for His wisdom as we look to how we can develop this area in the future.

August is the last month of our financial year, so there is a lot to do in terms of finance and staff issues (new contracts to be given out, end of year accounts to be done, new plans and budgets to start implementing...). Please pray that our staff are fired up and excited about the new year and all that is in store
Please pray for one 15 year old girl who used to be at Bambejja and who was resettled with relatives in a village. She recently contacted staff saying that she has left that home and not to worry about her. We of course are very concerned; we sense a man is involved and that she will regret her decision in future. Please pray she will see sense and be taken care of.
