John & Phyll Chesworth returned to U.K. in October 2006, after working for 18 years in theological colleges in Tanzania and Kenya.
They have now been seconded by Crosslinks to work with the Solomon Academic Trust, a new organisation promoting study and research on the Muslim-Christian interface. They are based at the Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies, Oxford.
John received his doctorate from Birmingham University in July 2008, a study on the use of scripture in Swahili outreach literature by Muslims and Christians. He is teaching courses at colleges in the U.K., organising seminars and offering short courses in Oxford, and continuing his writing and research. He is also maintaining and developing links with theological colleges in Africa.
Phyll is administrator for the Centre.
