After 20 years of ministry together in Worcestershire, which included the founding of Christ Church Wyre Forest (an Anglican Mission in England church plant), Charles and Gillian moved to Nairobi in 2012. Charles serves as the Archbishop of Kenya’s Officer for Anglican Communion Affairs. The Archbishop is also Chairman of the Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans and the GAFCON Primates’ Council so Charles was closely involved in the organization of the second Global Anglican Future Conference in Nairobi in October 2013 and is now responsible for the development of GAFCON’s communications.
Strategic support for theological education is a major part of Charles’ role which includes the local publication of Latimer Trust books and the encouragement of local authors. He is also researching the state of Anglican theological training across the continent of Africa as a whole and is an adjunct lecturer in Contemporary Anglicanism at George Whitfield College, Cape Town.
Using her training as an Environmental Educationist, Gillian has developed and leads a schools programme for A Rocha Kenya to help children learn about environmental issues interwoven with bible stories and biblical truths. She also gives administrative support at the New Life baby rescue centre in Nairobi.
Charles and Gillian are Associate Mission Partners.
