Mesfin finished his course in 2008, having been sponsored by the BEST programme. He wrote:
First of all, I would like to give my thanks to God who helped us through out our life and gave us a chance to work for his kingdom. It was a great privilege for me to study at Mekane Yesus Seminary. For all this I am very grateful to Crosslinks for making it possible for me to study at MYS by providing financial support. As I informed you before and you knew that my graduation was celebrated before two weeks a go, on June 21, 2008. After graduation now I am with my family in my respective area Nekemte and prepare my self to serve the church and the people of God where I will be assigned by the Church or get call from Congregation (Church) in the near feature, even if it is not simple task to reach on that point. God will help me and give me success don’t forget me in your continuous prayer. But for me it has great privileges to work with you for the kingdom of God because when I was thinking and prayed for your ministry and the relation we have your slogan impressed me and I loved it “God’s word to God’s world’’. This is the right slogan at the right time. So, what you are doing for me is the part of this motto which helps and makes it more successful in its achievement of goal (aims) because God has purpose for all of us to be train and sent out to God’s world to bring the good News. So based on your slogan and the vision God has given you, here I respectfully request you to work with you in different conditions and praying for your ministry as all. At last I would like to say thank you and let God bless all Your Work, Your People, Your Country and Churches. The word of God says that in Hebrew 6:-10 “For God is not unjust; he will not over look your work and the love that you look your work and the that you showed for his sake in serving the saints as you still do’’.
I never forget the concern you have for my family and for me it will be the part of our life. Thanks once more on behalf of my wife Tsehay Wadajo and children Nahom Mesfin and Mestnanat Mesfin Farther it is good to keep in touch. And one day we may meat each other if a will of God. Let us also pray for each other for the responsibility God given to us. I attached some graduation photographs for you, but in the family photo you couldn’t find Nahom, on that day he was not around because of school exam. Sincerely Yours in Christ Mesfin
